Bill Comisford
received his B.S. in Accounting from The Ohio State University in
1976, after practicing as a CPA for over twenty years here in the
Central Ohio Area, Bill and his wife, Sue, acquired and operated a
guest ranch in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming, where they
entertained guest from all over the world.
Wild Bill, as Bill was known, as a living historian portrayed the
famous frontiersman Buffalo Bill Cody weekly at Ranch campfires.
Recently, Bill and Sue moved back to
Ohio
to be close to their grandchildren, children, and parents. Over the
years Bill has been a re-enactor and living historian, portraying
famous characters in history, the likes of, mountainman Jim Bridger,
lawman and gunfighter, Wild Bill Hickok, and a Civil War cavalry
trooper.
A founding
member of Rosecrans’ Headquarters Unit, Bill portrays Brigadier
General David Sloane Stanley, the Commander of Cavalry under Major
General William S. Rosecrans at the Battle of Stones River, near
Murfreesboro,
Tennessee.
Bill, a CPA,
works with the firm of Cotterman-Wilson CPAs in
Worthington.
He and Sue have a small farm north of Sunbury and are active in
their church and the Big Walnut Relay for Life. Recently Bill
and Sue
donated a granary to the Big Walnut Area Historical Society.
Volunteers are working hard to help get it erected on the lot of the Myers
Inn Museum to be used as a Livery Stable and a Blacksmith's Shop. |
