Charles Grapes

   Chuck is beginning his second year with the Rosecrans Headquarters Unit, where he portrays Lt. Col. Granville A. Frambes, the regimental commander of the 59th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. After the war, Frambes raised money to start a school which is now the Town Hall building in the Sunbury Square. 
 
   In dinner theatre at the Myers Inn,  Chuck has played the role of Charles A. Dana, the Assistant Secretary of War in the Lincoln Administration.
 
   An active Civil War re-enactor, Chuck is part of the Confederate 5th Kentucky, "Orphan Brigade", as well as the Union 5th Ohio Light Artillery.  He also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Big Walnut Area Historical Society. 
 
    Chuck is a graduate of Capital University, and after a 30-year career as a professional geologist, he and his wife, Dinah are retired on a small farm in Kingston Township that was part of the larger acreage on which General Rosecrans was born in 1819
