| May 16, 1861, just one day after he was appointed colonel of the Ohio Volunteers, Rosecrans was appointed Brigadier General in the regular Army. | |||

Back of the Carte de Vista Edward Anthony became one of the top manufactures and suppliers for photographic equipment in New York. Eventually he bought patents of equipment and added them to his line. They became famous for stereoscopes. |
In 1862, Edward's brother, Henry
T. joined the firm and it became E. & H. T. Anthony and Company.
